Born in Harvey, Illinois on September 20, 1964, John was raised and educated in Maine, where he has lived since 1969. He graduated from the University of Maine with high distinction in 1986 and earned his J.D. in 1990 from the University of Maine School of Law, where he received highest honors in various moot court events, including awards for First Place and Best Brief in a national competition. John's practice areas include the defense of personal injury and product liability claims, professional liability claims, insurance and real estate agent errors and omissions claims, as well as general litigation and insurance matters.

A resident of the firm's Bangor office, he is a former football coach and college player, a history buff and an enthusiastic but aspiring golfer. John and his wife, Allison, stay active with the daily adventure of raising three young sons.
